The San José Public Library Foundation is a 501c3 independent nonprofit that supports educational programs and resources through the public library, schools, and community-based organizations.

We raise money to support community programs for Library users from birth to senior adults. Philanthropic funds pay for materials, supplies, equipment, marketing, critical staff, and grant management. For a complete list of programs we support, see our Impact page.

Yes, anyone can give to the Foundation to be used only for a particular purpose. If donating online, be sure to mark in the comments where you’d like your gift to go and we can restrict it to a particular branch or program.
