Message from the President

Welcome to the San Jose Public Library Foundation (SJPLF) website!

Thank you for your interest in the San Jose Public Library Foundation.  We are the Board of Directors -- a dedicated group of volunteers who have a long-time, love of public libraries.  We all share a commitment to maintain the San Jose public library system for our growing and ethnically and economically diverse community.  The SJPLF strives for full accessibility and availability of all our libraries to our entire community. 

We consider you our partners in this effort.  The Foundation has been involved in a very ambitious campaign to raise funds to support 20 bond project branch libraries. Support has been enthusiastic, and the response to the new and renovated libraries has been tremendous.  From fireside living rooms which have become the go-to location for many library customers to our teen homework centers to our high-speed computers – our public libraries are seeing returning and new visitors each and every day.  Our community and neighborhoods are richer because of our public libraries, and all the resources they provide.
